Due to the unavailability of the campsite on the earlier planned dates (5-6 MARCH 2010), our OVERNIGHT DESERT CAMPING TRIP 2010 had to be postponed to the following week; 12-13 MARCH 2010 (FRIDAY & SATURDAY).

Dear Members,

MAQ Sand Dune Trip is back! Due to the overwhelming response last year, this year we are going to have two (2) separate trips for you to choose from :

OPTION 1 : DAY TRIP - 12 FEBRUARY 2010 (FRIDAY)

FEE : QR50 (PER VEHICLE)

Program Itinerary :

07:00 HRS - Gather at Sealine (Preparation & Briefing by Marshalls)

07:45 HRS - Depart to Inland Sea

09:30 HRS - Group Photography at Inland Sea Viewpoint

11:00 HRS - Arrive at Picnic Spot, Solat Jumaat & Lunch

13:00 HRS - Outdoor Activity, Games & "free & easy"

15:30 HRS - Return & Departure

MAQ will provide breakfast, snacks and drinks. Lunch will be on pot-luck basis. So, please bring your own food, at least sufficient for your own family/group consumption.

Note :

We will be utilizing our Malaysian friends' campsite (with basic facilities but quite limited) as the picnic spot. For that, please bring own water supply for wudhu', cleaning up and other personal use.

OPTION 2 : OVERNIGHT TRIP - 5 & 6 MARCH 2010 (FRIDAY & SATURDAY)

* FEE (ESTIMATION) : QR150 (PER ADULT) & QR100(PER CHILD AGED 4-12)

* Discounted price, exclusively for MAQ members, subject to final negotiation with the campsite operator

An overnight camping trip in the middle of the desert, directly on the beach with full-fledged facilities (sleeping tent, bathrooms, majlis, entertainment, sports facilities, bouncy castles, camel rides etc). Welcome Drinks, BBQ Dinner and Breakfast are included in the package.

DAY 1 (5 MAR 2010)

12:45 HRS - Gather at Sealine (Preparation & Briefing by Marshalls)

13:15 HRS - Depart to Inland Sea

14:30 HRS - Group Photography at Inland Sea Viewpoint

15:15 HRS - Depart to Campsite

15:45 HRS - Check-in, Outdoor Activities and Dinner

DAY 2 (6 MAR 2010)

07:00 HRS - Breakfast and Outdoor Activities

09:00 HRS - Return and Departure

IMPORTANT NOTE : 4-WD VEHICLE IS A MUST!!!

We will be guided by our very own Malaysian Marshalls who will lead us throughout the journey on both trips.
